Product Introduction:

The product is a highly stable carbon monoxide(CO) detector designed for detection of CO leaking and prevention of CO poisoning. With an advanced Janpan Nemoto electrochemical CO sensor, it works steadily, of low sensitivity drift and presents CO level in a backlit digital LCD display. The detector works between AC100-240V and has a backup battery function. A 9V rechargeable NI-MH battery (250mAh) is recommended. It is suitable for early warning and protection in places where  CO leakages may happen.

Electrovalve: connect the detector black signal output wire to the cathode of the electrovalve control line, the detector red signal output wire to  the anode of the electrovalve control line.
Exhaust Fan: connect one detector signal output wire to one power wire of the exhaust fan; connect the other power wire of the fan to the mains cathode or anode; connect the other detector signal output wire to the other  anode or cathode of the mains.

Technical parameters:

Installation:

1. Mount the detector in bedrooms, near living areas or places where carbon monoxide leakages may happen. In multistory houses, mount the detector(s) on each floor. When choosing the installation position, make sure the alarm sound can be heard  in every sleeping area. If the detector is stored or put in the places with temperature <0°Cor >40°C for over 30 minutes, it should be put at room temperature for at least 12 hours before using.
2. To assure normal operation  and prevent false alarms, it is not advised to mount the detector in garage, kitchen or boiler house. It is normal to have high concentration of CO generated momently in kitchen, boiler house or by gas appliance. If the detector  mounted too close to  gas appliance, it will report false alarm frequently and make annoying noise.  If the detector must be installed in these places, keep a certain distance from the gas appliance or the boiler. Do not mount the detector in dirty, dusty or oily places. 
3. Choose a suitable position and mount the detector  at a height between 0.3-1.0m from ceiling since carbon monoxide is a little bit lighter than air.
4. Fix the attached  metal  installing base  into  a  wall  firmly  with screws  and hang the detector.

5. Installation Guide Layout

Operating introduction:

1. Plug-in the detector. The power LED lights up in green constantly. The buzzer gives out a beep. The LCD display shows characters in cycle. Then the detector goes into warming up state for about 3 to 5 minutes. After warm-up, the LCDdisplay backlit off and present the AC power plug symbol. The detector enters into standby state. If AC power failed, the detector will switch automatically to be on backup battery power and the LCD display presents the battery level. When battery power is low,  the detector beeps once every 40s along with yellow LED flashing.

Emergency alarm treament:

When the carbon monoxide level in air around the detector reaches or exceeds the given alarm level, the detector will automatically enters into alarm state.  Below treatments are advised:
1. Close  the gas tube valves right away.

2. Open  windows to  circulate air.
3. Notify the related department or professionals to inspect and handle the leakage. If it turns out to be a false alarm, check if the installing position is improper.

Failure analysis & Treaments:

Warning:

1. The product is a carbon monoxide detector. Can not be used to detect natural gas (methane), propane, butane or other combustible gases .
2. Make  sure  proper  wiring  and  power  supply  are  applied. Without normal power supply,  the detector will fail to work.
3. Maintain the detector periodically as required in this manual.
4. Use cleaner to vacuum the dust in the detector surface every month.
5. Do not  use  any  detergents  or solvents to clean the detector. Chemicals may cause permanent damage or transient pollution to the sensor.
6. Avoid  spraying  air  fresheners,  hair  gels,  paints  or  other aerosols near the detector.
7. Test the detector by a professional every half a year. If the detector fails to work properly,   repair or replace it asap.
8. The detector  can reduce  accidents  happening,  but  can  not guarantee a hundred percent safety. For security concern, besides proper usage of the detector, pay attention to build up safety conscious and take preventive measures in daily life.
